Ever googled someone’s name just to see where they live or just to see what they have been up to? Then you see a huge amount of personal information along with some inconvenient items like home phone numbers, land, marriage and divorce records, background items, past addresses all of it on one page. You can also pay to see more in-depth information too. Or you can also see more items on his or her family members. CRAZY but true!

While this information is available for anyone to see if they search in public sites such as government or local government sites but having it so visible on search engines makes it extremely inconvenient. Search engines as google just display it but typing in a person’s name. Another problem with this is that this information much of time is not verified or could be of someone else’s. At the end of the day its robots compiling person information. We like to call them scrubbers. You open up a new Facebook account, they get it. You change address and you go to the post office to let them know, you get posted.

Look at all of this they can look up.

These data websites are totally legal. This is information is out there where people can access without problem or payment. We all have sometime of online presence. If you have a SSN, Facebook or twitter accounts you are likely to be up there. These sites compile this information and put it on a very easy access system. The brings up very strong privacy concerns to people who are trying to live a private life.

How to opt out of personal gathering websites

Many of these sites have opt out functions that do not require payment. The only problem is that they take a long time or you might have more than one profile on it.

To have a completely clean reputation of personal information from these types of sites is going to be almost impossible. If someone really knows what they are doing they will find you since there’s hundreds of the sites. Some don’t even appear on google when you search your name however if you go directly to site and pay, you can find it.

Our best recommendation is go to the first 5 pages of google. Copy all links that have your information and opt out of each one of those. This should be done at least twice a year in order to keep items clean. The process is simple but annoying. Sometimes it can take up to an hour to remove one link since they can have several more.

Once you have remove the link. Make sure you get a 404 error making it non existence. The cache can take up to several weeks to be removed off google. You can also speed up the process but submitting it to google.

We have been helping people with these types of removals years now. If you want us to do the work for you, it would be our pleasure. Along with removal we do the research and maintenance for a whole year. We also provide alerts on all items that come up with your name.

Other ways on how remove your personal information from google

We are finally ready to get off the web for good? Not so easy as I mentioned before.

If you came to use its probably because this information is available to everyone and you don’t want it up there for everyone to see. What is worse is that you are probably all over the place with the personal information. To add salt to the wound you hear about how items like Facebook and Cambridge Analytica making your information public for political gains.

This is just an example of what companies and normal people have access to and how your information is being shared. What is even more problematic is these free sites are automatically updating their records. This is why people choose to be totally invisible and delete all types of social media account like fakebook, twitter, Instagram, etc.

Removing social media accounts

We get this question all the time:

How can I become invisible on the internet?

Well you can’t. unfortunately everything on the internet is always being recorded even when you delete such items. However we can always remove as much as we can so its difficult for people to find it or more importantly for these sites to have a much harder time of getting it and posting on their site. Here are some ways to help with the process.

Well you can’t. unfortunately everything on the internet is always being recorded even when you delete such items. However we can always remove as much as we can so its difficult for people to find it or more importantly for these sites to have a much harder time of getting it and posting on their site. Here are some ways to help with the process.

Delete your social media accounts

Ever stop to think about how many online accounts you have? For example when you have purchased items from amazon, google, apple or even online stores like Walmart, sears, or macy’s. Not to mention social media accounts like google plus, Facebook, twitter, snapchat and the list goes on. You can have over 20 easily. Some ask you to log on through a facebook proxy. This makes it even worse because they now have your facebook password.

You have to remove these accounts to become a little less visible. To delete these accounts, you must log onto each account, go to settings and either deactivate or delete if they give this option. You can usually find this in their privacy settings. If not there go the help page to find the help.

If you can’t find the solution just google, “how to delete account from ‘company name.” You can also go to their help section to find this type of information.

Like we mentioned before, its not impossible but long and annoying.

The less people know about your facebook profile the better you are.

Remove cache from google

Many people remove links but they still linger on google. You click on them and it says page not found or 404 error. This means they no longer exist but people can still view it. This could be up there for months if you don’t do anything to remove it. Below is a link where you can submit to google to deindex a link. This basically means that you are telling google to recognize this link is no longer active and please update its records. It should take about a couple days for it to be remove.
